this looks awesome! nice shading, especially with the fur and hair.
anyways, i just wanted to ask.. the people and animals around the girl on the bottom - are they part of her memory, or something? if they are, i think they should look more "ghostly", if you know what i mean. but if it's just a montage of everyone, i think you should have a definitive cut on the bottom girl's torso, so it doesn't look like she's extending past what you've already got (because the other figures are cut as well..) does that make sense??
and one last thing.. i don't think the bottom girl's eyes look sad or melancholic enough. i guess it's harder to draw that since you're doing this in black and white.
Hey michelle, thanks for the comment, you've put a lot of thought into it :)
when i was drawing the image, i didn't really have a clear vision of what i wanted. This was really meant to be a collection of random characters that i thought up on the spot, but i wanted to find a way to join them together for a better composition. it didnt quite turn out the way i wanted since i didn't pre-plan at all, which is the reason why there were some elements that felt inconsistent (such as the arms in the image that you pointed out)
if i ever get around to finishing the sketch, i will gladly change the girls face to a more sad/melancholy state, which i think would look better as well. good call :)
(the animal in the bottom right is the creature that hides behind your toilet boil and comes out to feast on un-flushed poop!)
